It's not on the album. It's a b-side. Which sucks. Can't understand why they left it off. Hopefully they're be a japanese edition with a coupla bonus tracks on.

Same here.
I've listened to it twice through, and the only song I can say I really like is Secret Country. The rest are either Ok, boring, or I downright hate(My Time).
I'm not going to write it off just yet, as these guys have been one of my favourite bands for the last 5 years.
But it feels like they've lost some of their inventiveness or something. None (Sans 1) of the melodies interest me....
EDIT: Headphones have changed my mind towards everything but My Time, Summer Angel, Excuses and Fooled by the Night.

Headphones makes this shit so sexy.
I like it. Its biggest faults are:
1) It followed Planet of Ice. It was impossible for them to top that.

I can't believe you guys don't like this album.... I've been listening to this band since 03' and they are my favorite band, so I'm little bias I know, but this album is their best, maybe tied with Highly Refined. It's an amazing album, super intricate, I think the singing and harmonizing is super good (I like A. Roses touch on this album, check out model photographer and I hated when Jake yelled on PoI), it's creative, and I think it tops PoI by a mile. I love how they got slower, listen to a few times and I think you'll want to listen more and more. Out of all their albums I think this is the easiest one to listen to. But this is just my opinion. |

you've got 3 maybe 4 songs. Go finish working on the others.
but after being underwhelmed (or seeing them outstaged) at more than 1 of their concerts, and failing to really get into them until Planet of Ice, these guys may be a 1-album wonder for me. Kind of in the class of South, Brazil and The Apex Theory.

If I was their producer I would say, "Go write 2 or 3 more songs to create a larger pool of songs to choose from so we can make this pretty good album a really good album."

Well that might be true if Planet of Ice was their only good album, and it's not. It's not even their best, that distinction goes to Highly Refined Pirates.
