Delirium421 - Your newb reply made me laugh!
Ben's in like 5 bands, and that comment about not putting your money in one pot highlights what he's doing. Its a Richard Branson kinda thing!

| Fogerty wrote: | | If you go to The Division Group's website it says "Ben did an interview here." and you click here. Read the interview and it's just about him talking about all the bands he is in and then in the end he says, "We just released a new Incubus album which I played bass on." I don't know but the way he worded it gave the impression that he may not be with Incubus for the long haul. What do you guys think? |
that's a pretty weak comment to be basing the assumption that he'd be leaving the band on. |

ben is not moving, even so, that he is in other bands, incubus is the one he seems to be more comfortable with, for the reason, the guys want him there. Always good to have that comfort level _________________ " Soft Spoken with a lot of Meaning" |

| yeah i know where fogerty was coming from. It was simply a starter for a discussion, not a panicking teenie wondering if Ben is gonna deband and fuck off. All i was saying is that it's gonna be interesting to see if he wants to stay in the band for the long haul. I wasn't implying that he had recorded the album and is planning to leave after this tour. I can see him staying for quite a while. I hope so anyway..so if anyone's gotta chill it's the people who misunderstood this thread. |

An interesting observation. I hope he sticks around for the long haul too. Only time will tell I guess. _________________ "Leave me here in my stark raving sick sad little world!" ~ incubus

right, so the thread topic was "ben kenney, good decision or not?" im gonna have to go with not.
if you ask me do i prefer incubus now, or incubus with dirk, im gonna say incubus with dirk.
his bass sound, his bass playing, his dynamic in the grou[, him, the songs he helped write.
ben kenney may be a fantastic musician and a lovely guy. but i preferred dirk as incubus' bassist. _________________ www.tapes-online.co.uk |

glad to know someone agrees with me. ben may be a great bassist, but dirk was certainly a better bass player. and yes there is a difference _________________ "from the inside out, we will fall....." |

There's no comparing the two!! Both musicians have completely different styles! It's all a matter of personal preference/taste. Some people prefer Dirk's style of playing and some people prefer Ben's style. No one is "better" than the other. Just different. _________________ "Leave me here in my stark raving sick sad little world!" ~ incubus

well there is comparing the 2 as they both did/are doing the same job, with some shared songs. _________________ www.tapes-online.co.uk |

Very good decision. You see you could be one of the self-proclaimed most talented people in the world, but if your priorities aren't straight then it is useless. If you can't mesh with your peers, bend a little, and you become egotistical, then your on the spiral to failure. Greatness takes more factors then playing skills. If you let the very factor the rest of a band prides itself on(friendship) go down the fucking tube, then you obviously haven't put things into perspective. _________________ 2011 IOV Fantasy Football Champion
