I suggested to Ren to have Ben open up for Incubus on the first few dates. He said it's a good idea, and he will talk to the guys about it. I know on the video chat Ben said he'd be up for it.

That'd be pretty sick if Ben opened for the band. Damn, what I'd do to hear Comfort live. I want to live inside that song.

That would pretty much be the most amazing thing ever. Missed Ben's tour due to other commitments when he was in Chicago. Was tempted to make the drive down for the St. Louis show but I didn't end up doing it.

If Ben does that I would buy the tickets solely for that reason alone.

I would totally love the idea of Ben opening a few shows.

I saw Young the Giant open up for Minus The Bear last year in Detroit. They were okay I guess. That was before they really blew up this year though.

Yeah. They were kind of meh. I've never been overly impressed with the opening acts Incubus brings on tour. Albert Hammond Jr, Sparta, Simon Dawes, The Vines... who else am I forgetting?

You're right. They never have though.

Minus the Bear would have been good. If they don't get Minus the Bear for the first half of the tour, it will be disappointing. YtG isn't bad, but they just remind me too much of OAR.

It looks like they're at least skipping the Atlanta show in mid-September; it wasn't listed up there. So, it might be other shows than just the first few weeks that they aren't playing at.

Minus the Bear would be sweet. Like I said, I saw YtG open for them, so it's almost like they are a couple steps down from Incubus.

I also feel like Portugal. The Man should really open for Incubus. Their current tour just goes up until Lollapalooza (which YtG is also playing) and would have some time off before this tour (and they usually tour constantly.)

I really liked Simon Dawes. Definitely my favorite of all their openers thus far.

But THIS would be wet fucking dream.

Phantom Planet, 30 Seconds to Mars...

I have the opposite opinion. Every single opening act Incubus has had, I have really enjoyed. The Duke Spirit was badass! I actually liked Phantom Planet the least(still bought their album). That was just due to it not sounding right at the venue I atteneded.

Almost forgot about 30 seconds to mars. Ok, that was the best one though.

I say just get Ben to open for those first few shows.
