I remember this one. It was fun for awhile, then I got stuck and didn't know what to do so I quit playing it.

Oh hells yeah... Shenmue was/is awesome... even though it's kind of sluggish and all, I never got bored. Have you guys played Shenmue 2? I have it for the X-blox and it turned out to be quite a game... the story is really sweet.

Damn Shenmue 2, I couldn't stop playing the gambling games where you drop a ball and it has to fall in a certain spot like plinko. Also the slot machines and arcades. I need to finish that game.

Shenmue one was great I probably spent more time in the arcade and buying mini figures than actually playing the story.

My Dreamcast is in the closet and I haven't brought it out in years, it was a system way ahead of it's time, great and awesome games for it, internet browser and online play and you could actually download save files and updates to certain games. I remember when I used my Dreamcast Internet Browser to look at some um, free "art" pics on my big screen, damn I never seen such big penetration, meaning the artwork just looked so um detailed, yeah.

I also loved the VMU Visual Memory Unit, I used to take it with me to school and play the Chao minigames from Sonic on it, but battery life on those suckers, well, sucked.

It was cool to see your vital signs on the memory unit in the controller for Resident Evil: Code Veronica, God that game kicked ass. Also while playing Tony Hawk the unit would tell you that "you suck" while crashing, dumb yet cool.

But anyway Shenmue 2 for the xbox came with a DVD to watch the entire story of part one from beginning to finish so that was cool. Shenmue 2 was better than part one in many ways but it could have still been better. I loved losing myself in those two games for hours, sad but true.

I'm probably the only person who enjoyed Power Stone.

I thought it was incredibly original for a 3D fighter with more possibilities than I had ever seen at that time.

Dude, Power Stone rocked hard! I had PS 1 & 2 (this was around when they had actually come out)... I sold both of them when I sold my Dreamcast, but I eventually later on bought another Dreamcast... now those games are hard to find, and Power Stone 2 goes for like $50 on eBay! Shit.

Quoted for truth. Sega's only downfall with this system was the Playstation 2. PS2 came out, and the Dreamcast was forgotten.

And whoever said they were the only one that liked Power Stone is on crack. Power Stone was like crack. It was so fun.

Man Shenmue was just simply great at immersing you into the world. Sure the gameplay had some issues, but to this day I can throw it in and be amazed at the detail and hard work put into it. After 30 minutes of playing it one can easily tell (like the game or not) that the developers put A LOT of time into making it.

I know exactly what you're saying. I mean, even though it's quite slow-paced, the game is just phenomenal.
