searched and couldnt find anything on this.
This is genius. Basically go to www.spotify.com and download the program (2.6mb) and you can just search and listen to anything you find. It streams music from the Internet and is apparently legal. You can't download or buy songs directly. It's good for just listening to music while at the computer. It doesn't have everything but they're working on aquiring rights from labels etc.
The occasional ads are the only flaw.

You should be able to get an account following these directions.

2. Write spotify.com in the box under "Enter URL", and press GO.
3. Uncheck the "Remove scripts" button.
Should now look like this:
4. Go to free and write desierd username
5. you can only select UK as country, and set "SE17 2DJ" as postal code.
6. Fill in the rest, capacha etc
7. click next and you should have your own account!
To create another one, just press "[clear cokkies]" next to [home].
To reduce the risk being caught by spotify, i recommend changing your country and postal code to your actual country after creating the account.

Exactly how I feel about it. I can live with the ads too knowing I'm getting so much music to stream for free. Now if only it was available for free on mobile, that's the next step. |

Yeah I still use it every time im at my PC.
There is an alternative which is ad-free but im not a fan. A few of my friends prefer it. www.grooveshark.com

Exactly how I feel about it. I can live with the ads too knowing I'm getting so much music to stream for free. Now if only it was available for free on mobile, that's the next step. |
Seriously. It's amazing. I dedicated my best 2011 music list to it because it allowed me to give things a listen with practically no effort.
I might eventually get Premium to have iPhone access.
I really should cancel my netflix streaming and get spotify premium. Much better value. I listen to spotify almost the entire day when I'm at my desk. |
