PM's sitting in outbox

Could someone explain how pm's work at this board? On several occasions, I've sent a pm and days later it will still be sitting in my outbox. This happened most recently when I had a question for Ren about his closet cleaning, and it's apparently happened to a few other folks as well. Do messages stay in the outbox until opened by the recipient, or does this mean that there's a delay in sending? Just curious.

Yes, they stay in the outbox until they've been read by the recipient. At that time they go to the sent box.
