Dear IOV moderators:
This is an open letter to you to inform you that we are not in accordance with the locking of the Chicago thread. Chicagoans, as well as friends, have enjoyed discussing Incubus and Incubus-related topics in our own city thread. We take pride in the popularity that our thread has amassed and look forward to coming to this website and giving our two cents. Through this forum, you have allowed us to make friends with those that also enjoy Incubus as well as remain informed with the ongoings of our beloved band. Please reconsider re-establishing this thread.

It wasn't dramatic until we are forced out of our own thread.
I'd like to add that there has been no animosity, no "cyber bullying", no put-downs, and nothing at all questionable in that thread. In fact, we all have a sort of attachment to it because it has brought would-be friends together and shown us all what great fans incubus has, not only in Chicago, but all around the midwest and the world.
At the very least... sticky the thread somewhere so it can be remembered by all those that went to the two chicago concerts in 2007

what if the other IOVers don't like me? 
ha. it's a messageboard. being dramatic is for entertainment purposes only. we can just start a new thread and make it ten times cooler. maybe other IOVers just felt left out. we should make it more accepting of people from other cities by naming it "incubus orgy -- all are welcome" |

i've tried posting in threads in MATMD -i thought i would fit in because i like being a sarcastic smartass. but they basically ostracized me.

Put yourselves in their shoes. Would you want someone coming to your little world with an thread that obviously doesn't fit?
I think the point is as much as we can and are able to post there without interference we have no need to. We had a place that didn't bother anyone. If we moved to matmd we would just be annoying them with a thread that doesn't really fit.
