So each band member signed all 2000 books included with the boxset? Wonder how many sharpies they went through...

Yeeeeep.

It's actually kind of funny, they sit down at huge tables with piles of whatever's being mass-signed and it's like a sweat shop. I feel a bit bad for them but, you know, they're rock stars so I don't feel THAT bad for them.

Speaking of which, there is a picture of Ben in the book were you can clearly see a box full of the lithographs he had to sign for that promo. I pretty much had the same reaction.

Thank you for correcting me LC. Somewhere I mistakenly thought it was the MnG cloths. Your info makes it far more badass.

As for the laminate being pointless, that could turn out to be a faulty assumption. The band is engaging and interactive as ever and yoh never know what they will think of. I could see it being used as a perk live. That is just positive thinking though.

Still waiting for more people to get to open it before I comment to heavily.

I guess we instinctively wanted the most bang for our buck. A full DVD/Blu-ray performance of each night would've made this set more awesomer if that's even a word. Hah it's a bit of a bummer but the vinyl is what makes this package worth it. Looks like I have to fire up my record player tonight.

If anything, you can at least access all the high quality HQ Live videos on youtube under the incubusTV account.

Food for thought most definitely. I occasionally check out the HQ videos on YouTube. Would've been nice to have a proper HD rip of them to be included in the box set but oh well, I'm not too upset about it. Overall, I'm glad I got it. This thing has been paid for a long time ago. It's rough shelling out over $200 dollars for something and not actually having it for about 4 months.

I could have sworn the blu-ray was meant to include each night?

And I'm guessing Ren's brief passing of some kind of USB stick didn't pan out?

Seems like parts of the box sets are hand glued or something. I also have some glue marks here and there which i don't mind cos the box is not a mass production.

the box is very high quality i think. i am satisfied with the end product. it's absolutely worth the price.

whether you like the design of the vinyl covers and cd covers or not is depending on taste.

I remember during the actual original broadcasting of HQ live, one of the days they had the spy cam on and you could see the whole band passing around lithos as they signed them.

I was thinking for people who ALREADY have pit tickets, maybe put them in the front of the line if they have the laminate? SmileSmileSmile haha. Logistically, that would probably be the easiest thing to do, but it's all just wishful thinking Smile

Holyballs, I just put the Morning View night (June 30) into the home stereo. The sound quality is so good I am stunned motionless as I just sit in the living room.

They have absolutely nailed it in a big way.

Listening to the Morning View night right now. This has to rank very high among one of the most memorable performances from the band. Definitely one of the finest live recordings.

Definitely the best version of Mexico ever captured.

This is my "problem" too. Trying all sorts of places where I will feel like it's safe but also properly displayed. No luck yet, it's massive! I also like the shipping box with it's big ol' "incubus hq deluxe box set" sticker on it. I may end up just storing it in there with the protective styrofoam for now.

Has anyone opened up the gate folds for the vinyl? These pictures are AMAZING! This is probably THE best box set ever for a fan.

I listened to the best of nights 3-5 vinyl set and it sounded pretty good. Then I decided to listen to how Battlestar Scratchlactica sounded on the Make Yourself night vinyl. So I pulled that out (side C/D) and noticed that my Side D of the Make Yourself night vinyl set, that I had a label flaw. I have a second label slightly glued askew on top of the other label.
Does anyone else have any label flaws? I think the rest of my labels are fine though.

I haven't checked for label flaws on my vinyls. I have only removed the gate fold to make sure they weren't snapped/cracked.

I too have minor minor glue residue on things. I am not complaining just pointing it out so others do not feel unlucky.
I am still in amazement with the sound quality hours after listening to HQ Live day 1. Mexico is a barn burner!! Throughout the entire MV set I kept thinking how well the effects sounded. The acoustics of that rental space, the setup, the mix, the delivery is incredible.

One disc in and I am ecstatic. I too am trying to figure out proper display. I think I am going to remodel or find something to suit this and the rest of my displayes.

It's not "full band" Mexico, right?

It's not. I should re-phrase. Best version captured of Mexico definitely is the full band version they played back in '04.

Besides the version they played in Santiago, Chile in 2010, the HQ Live version is high up there. Mike sounds very clean on the electric and Brandon is very on point.

I am watching the DVD right now. And it's awesome, but I don't really like the filters and the completely pointless slo-mo parts. But this is defintely a fan-package and it shows the uniqueness of the project and the shows. Brilliant package overall, even if I don't have the boxset.

I'm actually really surprised I haven't seen a bunch thrown up on ebay yet. Makes me pretty happy since that means only fans probably got them, not a bunch of flippers. I guess we'll see for sure by the end of the week.

For the box sets did you guys recieve a notification email saying it was sent with tracking number or anything? Last email I got was the one saying shipping date will be August 16th. Just curious. I know mine wouldn't have arrived yet being in Australia, but a shipping number or just verification it's definitely sent would be good.
