Are we even sure he's a good actor? I've seen all of Friday Night Lights, loved it and even loved him, but was never necessarily impressed with his acting. At least, I thought everyone else out-acted him.

getting close to the Titanic disaster's 100th anniversary. Criterion dedicated that benchmark with the release of Roy Ward Baker's "A Night to Remember". Been watching it like crazy the past couple days. such a fascinating and deeply moving film. Jim Cameron must've thought so as well.

Seen that one, way better than the newer Titanic with Decaprio. There is something about black and white films that sets a more somber mood.

The Grey

It was okay. I was hoping for a really epic ending, kind of disappointed with how it actually ended. But in hindsight, thought it was appropriate and poignant.

There's a scene after the credits in The Grey if you didn't know.

Yeah, I almost missed it. It didn't change my first thoughts. The only useful information I got from it is that the wolf is dead. Him- can't tell.

Definitely a very poignant ending in hindsight. I can't stop thinking about it.

Yeah I was the same when I first saw it. To me it's probably better than Taken (in the recent revival of Neeson action films).

Saw The Fly the other day. One of Cronenberg's best. Watched a 2 hour documentary on the making of the film too. Holds up really well for a pre CGI effects film.

Never seen a Woody Allen film before, so didn't know what to expect, but I really enjoyed this. Not hilarious, but a 'nice' film to watch. 8/10

Watched this ages ago, but fell asleep halfway through due to walking about 10 miles beforehand. Not quite sure what all the fuss was about, really. 6/10

Great film, even if it wasn't as 'true' as it made out to be. 8/10

Annie Hall, Hannah and Her Sisters, Purple Rose of Cairo, Match Point, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, Midnight in Paris, Zelig.

All solid movies.

Take the Money and Run, Love and Death, Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex *But Where Afraid to Ask, Sleeper, Manhattan...the list goes on and on.

Woody Allen is one of the greats. "Overrated"? hardly.

Remember Me

...an odd choice by my girlfriend considering Mr. Cullen is in it. But it was surprisingly good/adequate. I did not expect the film to end the way it did. I was like "wtf.. was this a political statement the whole time?"

I had the same reaction to that movie. I felt really stupid at the end, actually.

I watched that too a few weeks ago and kinda liked it. The end's a bit "wtf" but quite fitting and shocking.
