I was seeing Primus website, and noticed that they are recording all their shows and selling the bootlegs.. ok, Incubus is also doing it... But Primus is selling EVERY 2003 and 2004 shows on their website (primuslive.com), you just pay and download the songs and the printable art, and then make your own cd....
I just think that this could be a good idea for Incubus and MYF, maybe they could raise more money for the foundation by this way. For example, to get a cd delivered here in Brazil the prices double, because of taxes and stuff... that's why I didn't buy any of the official bootlegs. But if I could buy Incubus live stuff at the Primus way, I would certainly do it because I think it would be cheaper...
(Sorry if anyone has posted the same idea before) |

Yeah its a good idea. Maybe they should do that.
Apparently incubus tapes every show so i wonder what happens to all the recrordings that dont make it to be released? _________________ |

First off I'd like to say, nice boobs lol. But yeah they definitely need to release every single show as bootlegs cause people would much rather buy a bootleg of a show they were at then a bootleg from a certain area in which we have no clue what show each song came from.... _________________ "I have a wish, I want to learn, I wish to see, and I want to affirm that what I see in reflection day to day isn't all I am" - Incubus |

| It would be great. If I go to a show it would be a nice to be able to hear it over and over again - kind of re-live the experience. |

Tape it yourself
Trouble is with the official bootlegs they seem too polished, what you hear on the bootlegs is not what you hear at the concert. I much prefer audience taped shows, much more feeling. _________________ |

Yeah, i thought it would be a sweet idea to do that. Who knows, maybe if we get in their case enough they just might. I mean, they ARE recording every show arent they?

yea guys, phish does the same thing...They have the "official" live releases and then on their website livephish.com or whatever, u can buy the FLAC or MP3 version of almost every show...And its not that expensive...That would be a really good idea; i borught it up in some other forum a while ago. _________________ "Mr. Jones, of the Manor Farm, had locked the hen-houses for the night, but was too drunk to remember to shut the popholes"

This needs to happen. Very profitable for the charity, I'm sure. _________________ MA_TT/HEW |

Thanks for this information, I already knew that... But if I buy the money will go to Apple or to the Make Yourself Foundation? And besides that, they have only the official bootlegs there (Lollapalooza, Japan and Sweden), and what I had in mind was having the possibility of buying every single concert, just like Primus, Phish and other bands do... |

Just fixing my last post:
I just found the Japan bootleg there. And the itunes store is not selling to Brazil yet. |

| If downloads of every concert were offered (a la Primus), then the concerts should be offered in FLAC format aswell as MP3. There's no way I'm paying money for a lossy format, but if it was in FLAC, I'd definately get some. |

Yeah, I hate the idea of bootlegs sourced from multiple shows, not to mention MP3. Metallica is running the same idea as Primus on their current tour. I have all the released shows in FLAC. Most are top notch considering they were mixed and uploaded in two days. www.livemetallica.com _________________

| I'd love to be able to buy bootlegs of individual shows (like the Philly show for example). The could still release compilation cds @ incubusbootlegs, but to be able to hear a show you were at again would be fantastic. FLAC would be the way to go. MP3, unless done at high bitrates is just too shitty. And if you're going to go with a high bitrate mp3, why not go all the way and FLAC it? |

mp3 quality is not good as cd would be. and rich audience taped shows suck for one the quality of the show, two you don't want to hear the girl in front of you screaming at the top of her lungs cuz shes high on drugs and having a good time.. lol .. but yeah they should make some of the really good shows on cd's and the rest that don't make the list just have them available in FLAC or mp3 to buy. another very good idea. i hope people involved inthe MYF check these ideas out that some people come up with. _________________ and you're standing firm
